tells Lyddie. Why does she tell the story? Who do you think Triphena would say
is a "natural born kicker?" What events from the story lead her to
say this?

obligated to obey their parents?

2) Meli says that "Adem Jashari was our George Washington," a patriot. Whom would you consider a modern day American patriot? Use the news media to help you in making your decision. Explain the reasons for your choice.
3) Two languages are spoken in Kosovo: Serbian & Albanian. How does this affect Meli? Do language differences divide a country or bring its people together? Can you find evidence in the news media for your ideas...on an international level, a national level, in your state, or in your community?
